Job Summary/Basic Function

Reporting to the Executive Director – SSBCI Program, the Assistant Director-SSBCI Program. The Assistant Director of the State Small Business Credit Initiative Program (SSBCI) Technical Assistance program will oversee the deployment of the statewide SSBCI program in compliance with the Department of Treasury program guidelines and the Interagency Agreement with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD). The incumbent is responsible for the SSBCI program outreach across the state. This position requires frequent travel to all areas of Tennessee, with a focus on rural and underserved areas. The Assistant Director-SSBCI Programs is responsible for promoting the program and ensuring eligible clients are directed to the program for services. The Assistant Director will oversee an administrative assistant. Note: This is a full-time, grant-funded position with a 5-year maximum on funding.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree required.

Required Related Experience

Five (5) years of progressively responsible business experience required. Three (3) years of experience working with socially and economically disadvantaged businesses of very small business required.

Required License/Registration/Certification

Valid driver’s license required

Desirable Related Experience

Five years of progressive experience in grants management, government contracting, business technical assistance, or regulatory compliance.
